3. The purpose of the camera's aperture is to increase or decrease the amount in light passing through the lens.
4. The shutter speed on the camera controls the length of the exposure.
5. To get the right exposure for a picture you have to to balance film speed, aperture size and shutter speed to the fit the light level in your shot.
